教学目的:
通过调查表和猜一猜的方式把月份和季节联系起来,进一步巩固37课所学的单词和句型;
说唱歌谣做游戏,复习巩固有关月份和生日的知识内容。
教学重点:
调查表练习,让学生通过问答复习巩固有关月份和生日的知识。
教学难点:
询问某人生日时的问句:Is it in…? 的语调和回答:Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t
课前准备:
教学挂图,教学录音磁带,单词卡片,教师制作数份生日调查表,供小组活动时使用,学生准备一支写着自己姓名的纸蜡烛,教师准备12个上面各写一个月的英文名称的纸蛋糕卡片
教学过程:
说歌谣,复习12个月份的单词:
跟随录音齐唱37课的歌谣,注意同学对12个月份的发音是否正确;
教师将12个月份的单词打乱顺序,任意抽出哪张,那个月出生的同学马上站起来并大声读出单词,其他同学再复述;
教师介绍自己的生日,启发同学们回忆起句子的表达,并请几名同学介绍自己的生日月份。
调查同学的生日月份,学会用英语询问某人的生日:
师生对话,巩固交际用语:
T: When is your birthday? S: My birthday is in January.
教师示范调查表的使用方法,与一名同学对话示范:
T: When is your birthday, Joy? S: My birthday is in July.
调查时的要求:下座位后去调查你想调查的同学,用学过的英文进行交际,凡是使用中文交际的同学要给予相应的惩罚(背诵一首英文歌谣或歌曲)或同学们不予理睬;

公布调查结果,请同学们说一说你调查的同学的生日,该同学进行评价,教师给予发言好的同学奖励;
猜一猜,唱歌谣,学习季节和月份的关系:
出示37课的教学挂图,告诉学生:There are twelve months in a year.并问他们:What are they? Can you say them? 让学生按顺序朗读出1至12个月的单词;
复习几遍后,引导学生仔细观察挂图教师再问:How many seasons are there in a year? What are they? 让学生看图后回答问题,培养他们的观察能力;
让学生继续看图教师提问:How many months are there in spring? Do you know? What are they? 指导学生从颜色上区分季节和它们的月份,目的是逐步记忆单词;
教师与学生问答练习,进一步让学生感知季节和月份的关系:
T: Is your birthday in spring? S: Yes.
T: Is your birthday in March? S: No.
T: Is your birthday in May? S: Yes. My birthday is in May.
猜一猜游戏:听录音了解游戏的操作规则后,教师与一名同学先示范然后同桌同学进行游戏,在与其他同学进行猜测游戏;
播放歌谣的录音,边听边由同学进行解释,教师适当的进行指导和纠正;
跟随录音学唱歌谣,注意语音语调和节奏;
全班齐唱歌谣边唱边做动作,做出与歌谣歌词相对应的动作;小组内进行歌谣表演,各组之间进行表演比赛,给予表演和唱的好的小组奖励。
课堂小节: Today we learned the relation between seasons and twelve months. We learned a chant about them. Then we played a game about them. You did the good jobs.
