    Unit 1 It's the band which gets everyone dancing.
    ■ Warm up by talking about band.
    Hello, class. Look at the photo. What is in the photo? Yes, it is band. But what is a band? In music, a band is a group of people (usually musicians) that gets together to sing songs, or perform music. Do you know about any bands in China? What is your favourite band Tell us something about it?
    ■Listen and read.
    On page 64 in the box is a conversation among Tony, Lingling, Betty and Daming. They are talking about bands.
    Before we listen to it, let's go on to read it first. While reading, try to: cut/ the sentence into thought groups, study the predicative, darken the connectives and underline all the useful expressions. (阅读过程中,断开/意群,观察谓语构成,圈出连词,摘录短语搭配。)
    Useful expressions (有用的短语搭配)
    come to…, the school dance, get some good photos, see over…, enter the photo competition, You bet! by the way, at the front, same as you! win the competition, last time, win  the photo competition, last summer, get…dancing, really loud, go upstairs, look after…, get on, got some great shots of…, plays the guitar, on the left, leave early, something wrong with…, in with a chance to win, a minute ago, leave…upstairs, quite unhappy, pick…up, try out…
    ■Talk as they do. (仿说)
    Now in groups we shall try to say something about accident. We shall talk as they talked just now.
    ■ Find restrictive attributive clause with which and who in the conversation.
    In the conversation there are some restrictive attributive clauses with which and who. Now go over it again to find out all the restrictive attributive clauses with which and who.
    Then make sentences which have restrictive attributive clause with which and who.
    1. He's the photographer who won the competition last time!
    2. The one who the photo competition last summer?
    3. It's the band which gets everyone dancing.
    4. I got some great shots of the boy who plays the guitar on the left.
    5. His father is the person who will be most unhappy.
    1. He's the pupil who wrote the composition!
    2. The one who disappeared after the photo competition last summer?
    3. It's the canyon which makes everyone excited.
    4. I got some great shots of caved which had treasure in it.
