（1）教师请学生先在方框里填上单词或短语，再根据所填写的地图进行描述，如：“The post office is near the museum.The cinema is in front of the post office.”等。
（2）“小小设计师”活动
教师先带领学生认读六个表示场所的单词或短语：“library, cinema, hospital,science museum, postoffice, bookstore,”，接着告诉学生：“现在你们都是城市设计师，请大家设计一张地图，设计之后会有记者来采访。”让学生利用单词卡片设计城市规划图，并在班级里选几名学生充当小记者去采访“设计师”，逐个提问：“Where is the hospital/…?”由“设计师”来回答问题。

4，Consolidation and extension
（1）学生做A Let’s learn部分的活动手册配套练习。
（2）学生背诵并抄写本课时的四会单词。
（3）“我是小画家”活动
请学生画一张心目中理想城市的地图，图中的建筑可不受限制，但要求本人能够描述这些建筑物所处的位置。
（4）“猜猜我在哪儿？”活动
学生可以利用部分的图或自己设计街区来做活动。如：“I am near the library.I am not in the hospital.The bookstore is in front of me.Where am I？”建议学生运用介词或介词短语near ,in front of ,behind来表述。
