Teaching goals Read with the Reading and Writing part. Teach Ss how to write a short letter. II. Teaching important points: The language points of this leeson. III. Teaching difficult points: To get correct information in listening. V. Teaching aids: Projector, a tape recorder and the blackboard. VI. Teaching procedures:   Step 1 Writing Read the short passage on page23 and find out the differences between a diary and a travel journal.

Diary 1.         Put thoughts 2.         Personal 3.         Diary just record the personal feelings 4.         Record how they feel very soon after things happen Travel 1. Write about their travels 2. Not so personal can be shared with others 3. Have a different purpose 4. Record their experiences, ideas and after thoughts about what they have seen

  Step 2 Introduce how to write a letter and then ask Ss to write the draft of the letter in the class. Homework 1.Revise the whole unit and learn the language points by heart. 2.Finish the exercise for consolidation in Best English
